Umeboshi

Umeboshi is an AI-powered translation tool for android created with React Native the Expo framework that uses the OpenAI API to generate detailed Japanese translation data from either single words or images of text. With a single tap, users can turn this data into beautifully formatted AnkiDroid (A popular spaced repetition flashcard application) flashcards, complete with example sentences and pronunciation information.

I originally designed Umeboshi for my own Japanese studies, but as the tool grew more capable I decided to release it on the Play Store. The app now includes optional subscriptions as well as a free daily usage allowance. The application is currently being beta tested.
